The Decatur Beef Alliance was established in October 1994.  More than 140 progressive ranchers from at least 23 states throughout the United States currently participate in this highly successful management and marketing program. Their herd sizes range from 100 to over 10,000 cows.  The Alliance enables you to maximize your profit from the genetics you breed into your cattle.  The program is rooted in the management principle: “You cannot manage what you cannot measure”.   

The Decatur Beef Alliance has replaced the traditionally negative and confrontational relationship between ranchers, feeders and packers with a cooperative relationship that results in more open flow of information and data. It provides economic incentives and rewards for producing better beef and promotes long-term customer satisfaction. This is the cornerstone of enhanced and sustained profitability between all sectors and among all participants.
